Maury Cotter is Director Emeritus for the Office of Quality Improvement, and an alumna of UW-Madison. In her role as director, she coordinated the development and implementation of UW-Madison’s strategic plan over 20 years. Maury coordinated the design and launching of campus-wide initiatives, including the Global Health Institute, Educational Innovation, and Discovery to Product. She worked with most schools and colleges and dozens of departments across campus. Her expertise is in strategic planning, execution, and design and restructuring programs and departments.

Maury was a founder and past president of the NCCI - the Network for Change and Continuous Innovation in Higher Education, which today numbers nearly 100 member institutions worldwide: She coordinated the national Total Quality Forum – a collaboration between higher education and major U.S. corporations and served on the implementation committee for the Kellogg Commission on the Future of State and Land-Grant Universities. Maury consults nationally and internationally and has authored books and articles on planning and improvement in education.
